ANNUAL MUZZLE-LOADING
TURKEY SHOOT
NOVEMBER 17th &
18th, 2007
Events are open to anyone with
Flint, Percussion, or Inline Muzzleloading Rifles.
Single Patched Round Ball and Open Iron Sights ONLY. No slings.
NMLRA Rules will be in effect
Registration fee is $10. Shoot tickets are $1 each.

Shooting Events:
- Rotating Turkey -
| No, it's not a drunk turkey, it's a clay target on an electric motor. We stopped shooting live turkeys some years ago. Some people think you don't have to kill them before you eat them. Anyway, we went out and bought a lot of frozen birds already picked and dressed and everything. All you have to do is break the moving clay at 75 yards and take you home a turkey. |
- Axe Blade Shoot -
Contestants must shoot the axe blade and split the ball to break both clay targets at the same time. (It's done every year!) Do this and you win a big ol' side of bacon or something. |
- Card Shoot -
Shoot a card in half at 20 yards.
- Feather Picking -
Shoot a feather in half at 20 yards.
- Ham On A String -
| We hang a nice big ham on a string at 35 yards. All you have to do is shoot the string to drop the ham and the ham is yours. This event is real easy, once you get the hang of it. You don't have to worry about sighting up and down, just side to side. |
There's no telling what else we might come up with, so come on out and plan on enjoying yourself for two days.

We will have a delicious
BBQ Saturday night for registered shooters. Anyone else interested in eating that is not registered, the BBQ will be $5.00 each. Covered
dish or dessert welcome. Registration fee is $10.00.
Come and enjoy the BBQ or just hang around the campfire and shoot the bull..

We have a campground at the range with water and electricity hookups, and

wanting to sell or trade anything bring it out, there is no
charge for setting up your table. |
