September 2008 Newsletter

The August shoot was held on Sunday, August 10th. There were 12 registered shooters. Chuck Haskell finished first. Emmerson Esterline sponsored the shoot. There were two 25 yd targets, one was the tough target and one was the watermelon target. Points were lost if you hit a watermelon seed! I'm not going to give you any more details about the targets as we intend to use them again! Pictures from the shoot will be posted on the web site soon, be sure to check it out!

Upcoming Shoots

The September 2008 shoot will be held sunday, September 14th. Bring $10 to shoot, which will cover food and prizes. The club will sponsor the shoot and will serve hot dogs for lunch around noon. The meeting agenda will include discussing the upcoming Turkey Shoot and the possibility of sponsoring the 2009 National Territorial Match for Georgia.

We decided not to have a club camp out for this shoot since everyone is busy getting ready for deer season and the weather is still just too hot.

June and I attended the NMLRA National Territorial Match for Georgia sponsored by the Blue Ridge Mountain Men August 31st - September 2nd. They had 29 shooters from Georgia and South Carolina clubs. We enjoyed the shoot and seeing old acquaintances.
