March 2008 Newsletter

The February Shoot was held on Sunday, February 10th. We had a big turn out with 14 participating shooters. The Locke's hosted lunch and served the crowd their tasty chili. Ben Aderhold, Bruce Gilbreath, and John Oliver finished First, second and third respectively in the blanket rifle match. The winners of the pistol match were Mark Olson, Peter Miller, and Steve Wilkes.

During the meeting, maintenance of the range was discussed. Several members paid their dues. We recognized our new member, Bill Stahl.

Upcoming Shoots

The March 2008 Shoot will be held Sunday, March 9th and will be sponsored by Chuck Haskell and Rusty Miller. They will serve hamburgers and the match targets will be circle in the circle. Mark Olson will conduct the pistol match. The pistol shoot will be 50 yard single-bull pistol targets located at 15 and 25 yards; 5 shots per target. Scores from the Pistol Match and the Rifle Match will be be combined to determine the winner of the Pistol Match. Hopefully, you can start early and participate in both matches.

Annual dues for several members are due in March. If you need to know when your dues are payable, please contact me.

We will have flyers available at the March shoot for Brushy Creek's Spring Shoot to be held March 19th - 23rd. This shoot will have a class for everyone. Several of us are planning on going to the shoot and camping for the weekend. Some will go for Saturday only as this is Easter weekend.
