January 2007 Shoot
We had our first shoot and meeting of the year on Sunday, January 14th. Lunch was served with the meeting following immediately thereafter. There were 15 members in attendance with one guest, David Jones (who brought his son, Mac). The 2007 shoot dates were discussed and it was decided to hold the monthly shoots at 1:30 PM on the second Sunday of each month with the exception of April and May due to Easter and Mother's Day. The April shoot will be on the 15th and the May shoot on the 20th. The current officers were re-elected to serve again for 2007. Also, the members decided to hold another raffle for a fundraiser. This time the prizes for the raffle will include a gun, a gun box, and knife, and tickets will be sold to all. The winners of the January shoot were Scott Greene, Ben Aderhold, and Bruce Gilbreath, coming in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.
Upcoming Shoots
February 2007 Shoot and meeting will be held on Sunday, February 11th. This will be a blanket shoot sponsored by H.B. Lunch will be served from 11:30-12:30. The monthly meeting will follow lunch and the match will begin at 1:30PM.

It's time to pay 2007 dues. If you have not already done so, please send your $50 club dues to me at 1875 Holland Rd, Cataula, GA 31804. Checks should be payable to the Muscogee Long Rifles.
Welcome New Members Tom Locke and his wife. Tom was a member years ago and helped build the current shooting range. Also, welcome new member Mac Jones. Mac is our youngest member...but for those of you who remember the 2005 Turkey Shoot, you better keep your eye on him!
