April 2008 Newsletter

The March shoot was held Sunday, March 9th. We had 19 registered shooters. Chuck Haskell and Rusty Miller hosted the shoot. The targets were circle in the circle. Scott Greene, Bruce Gilbreath, and Ben Aderhold finished first, second and third respectively. The winner of the pistol match was Mark Olson.

During the meeting, the upcoming flintlock gun raffle was discussed. Steve Massey volunteered to have the raffle tickets printed. We discussed the upcoming Brushy Creek Spring Shoot.

Upcoming Shoots

The April 2008 shoot will be held Sunday, April 13th and will be sponsored by Chuck Haskell and H.B. Aderhold. this will include both a rifle and pistol match and anything else we can think up. This will be a blanket shoot so be sure to bring a $10 or better prize and $5 registration fee. Lunch will be served around noon. Weather permitting, you can start shooting before lunch.

Remember to pay your annual dues. Dues are payable the same month you paid last year.

Several of us attended the Brushy Creek Spring Shoot held Easter weekend. I set up camp Tuesday afternoon and enjoyed camping with everyone. Ben Aderhold and Scott Greene won ribbons and Hunter Greene won the sub-junior aggregate. John Oliver's and Tommy Oliver's trip was cut short due to a family emergency. Their niece was involved in an accident and, thankfully, is recovering from her injuries. The Kennedy's stopped by to visit but were unable to participate in the shoot.
